新竹聖母無玷之心主教座堂移民主日慶典聚焦
2021 年 9 月 26 日我們慶祝了第 107 屆世界移民及難民日。教宗方濟各將今年的主題定為《邁向一個愈加寬廣的我們》。為能深入理解這個主題，當天彌撒前特別播放一段影片，神父講道時也融入了該主題。
在本次慶祝之前，我們已連續在二次主日彌撒中邀請外籍勞工，分享他們在台灣作為外來務工人員的旅程和宗教經歷的故事。 他們發自內心地分享如何努力應對挑戰，包括在工作中遇到的困難、家庭以及渴望與親人在一起的願望……在他們生活的每一個事件中，天主是用何等奧祕的方式化工， 他們又是如何因承天主憐憫及恩典，而堅持了下來。
在移民主日彌撒中，讀經分別用印尼語、越南語、菲律賓語及英語誦讀。獻祭品時則呈上了國旗、地球儀、行李箱、涼鞋、護照和教區移民移工服務中心標誌等象徵的禮品。
彌撒結束後，我們也為移民準備了禮物及紀念品。當天也是教區移民移工服務中心成立23週年，特別準備的午宴共融讓眾人賓主盡歡。
疫情中能舉辦這個簡單但極富意義的移民主日慶典，我們同聲感謝並讚美天主。

Highlights of the Migrants Sunday Celebration
at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral Hsinchu
Last September 26, 2021 we celebrated the 107th World Day of Migrants and Refugees. This year, Pope Francis chose the theme of “Towards an Ever Wider “We”. To understand better the theme, a video was shown before the mass and the priest also integrated it during his homily.
Prior to the celebration, for two consecutive Sundays during the Mass, we invited migrant workers to share their stories of their journey and religious experience as migrant worker here in Taiwan. It was real sharing straight from the heart of how they struggled to cope up to challenges, difficulties they encounter within their work, their families and their longings to be with their loved ones… how God works in mysterious ways in every event of their lives, how they were sustained up to this very moment because of God’s mercy and grace.
On Migrants Sunday, readings during Mass were read in Indonesian, Vietnamese, Filipino and English. There were symbolic offerings during the Offertory: the flag, globe, luggage, sandals, passport and the HMISC logo.
We also prepared gifts and tokens for the migrants after the mass. Since it was also the 23rd Anniversary of the Hsinchu Migrant’s and Immigrant’s Service Center (HMISC), special food was prepared for lunch and everybody enjoyed the celebration.
Thanks be to God, in spite of this pandemic, we were able to have a simple yet meaningful Migrant’s Sunday celebration.
